About Us

Hi, I’m Jenny, I discovered Scentwork UK and the Dog Sport of Scent Training a number of years back and went along to a workshop with my Chocolate Labrador Jethro, who quickly got the reputation as being a bit of a thug.

With the help of my patient trainers and Jethro discovering that all things scent was his “Thing”, he found a purpose in life. He calmed down, learnt self control and couldn’t wait for the next search. We began doing Scentwork UK Trials and started to progress through the levels. Mike, my working Cocker Spaniel joined me in 2019 at 8 weeks old to complete my Scentwork Family.

My Scentwork training continued under Instructors from The College Of Scent Dogs who have, combined, over 60 years Industry proven experience and a Doctorate enabling me to gain a City & Guilds Detection Dog Handler and the City & Guilds Instructor Qualification.

I am now proud to say that I now also teach as an Instructor at The College Of Scent Dogs LTD.

Nicola Park

Nicola is our 2nd Selby Sniffers Instructor. Nicola is a The College of Scent Dogs City & Guilds Detection Dog Handler & Instructor. Nicola has been with me for a number of years with her Yellow Lab Jackson.

Bianca Schofield (L) Elaine Tomkins (R)

Bianca and Elaine are our two Volunteers.

Bianca trains Fire her Malinois and Dora, her Bouvier De Flanders’s. Bianca has a number of years Scentwork experience prior to joining us. Bianca has scribed and competed at Scentwork U.K. Trials and Competition Scent Dog Trials. Bianca has trained her dogs to a high standard completing The College of Scent Dogs Assessments and will be doing her City & Guilds Detection Dog Handler & Instructor Course in 2025.

Elaine and her Labrador Florence is a The College of Scent Dogs City & Guilds Detection Dog Handler & Instructor. Elaine has competed in Trials with Florence and completed a People Scanning Course with us.

You will see Bianca and Elaine helping out at training, workshops and events. Here to help, both can point you in the right direction or help you with training questions.
